Krzysztof Zima is Assistant Professor of Organization and Management at the Cracow University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Institute of Construction and Transportation Engineering & Management. His current research interests focus on construction cost estimation, Building Information Modeling, Design&Build and Integrated Project Delivery, evaluation of investment efficiency and influence of the building shape on the cost of construction.
Krzysztof Zima received his Ph.D. in 2008 from the Cracow University of Technology. He is the author/co-author of over 60 publications, academic book and 3 chapters in academic text book, several international and local conferences papers, a lot of opinions and expertise’s. He was also a scientific committee member and a reviewer of polish and international conference papers and journals. He received the Award of the Minister of Infrastructure for a doctoral thesis: Analysis of development of construction projects using fuzzy logic (for 2008), Honorary Badge of Cracow University of Technology (2011) and Outstanding Reviewer for Journal of Financial Management of Property and Construction in the Emerald Literati Network 2014 Awards for Excellence. He is a cost estimation appraiser, member of Construction Cost Estimators Association and American Real Estate Society.

Agnieszka Leśniak, Ph.D., Eng, working at Cracow University of Technology, Institute of Building and Transport Management. Since 1998 as a teaching assistant also since 2005 as an Assistant Professor
She completed Ph.D. Thesis titled “The method of estimation the indirect costs of works using artificial neural networks” in 2004.
Agnieszka’s research interests are focused on the following areas: – construction management and economics, building procurement, tendering and bidding, partnering in building, cost modeling, using of artificial neural networks in construction management.
She is the author and co-author of over 40 publications in the field of construction management, cost estimating, building procurement. She publishes in re-viewed national and international scientific journals. In active way she has participated in over 20 conferences including 8 international. Agnieszka has been a supervisor of 29 Bachelor’s thesis and 37 Master’s thesis already.

Constanta Bodea received her PhD degree in Cybernetics and Statistics in 1993 from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies. Her academic career started in 1985 and now she is full professor at Bucharest University of Economic Studies, teaching artificial intelligence, information systems and project management. She is member of the PMR, the Romanian Project Management Association. She acted as first assessor for certification in Romania according to the International Project Management Association. In 2006 she contributed to the startup of the national Project Excellence Awards in Romania. Constanta Bodea authored more than 200 studies, books and working papers at scientific events. She has an extensive experience from IT and research projects, as project manager and team leader. Her research relates to competences modeling, computer-assisted testing with applications in e-learning, and project risk management.
Augustin Purnus PhD is Associate Professor of Construction Management at the Technical University of Civil Engineering, Bucharest, in Construction Management Department. He received his PhD in Hydraulic Structures in 1996 at the Technical University of Civil Engineering, Bucharest. Mr. Purnus is the promoter, founder and past president of PMI Romania Chapter. With an experience of almost 30 years gained in various type of projects as designer, construction manager, project manager and consultant in project management, Dr. Purnus holds a Project Manager Professional (PMI) certification. He published as author and co-author of 8 books and more than 100 publications in refereed journals and conferences. His research areas are scheduling, resource optimization, cost engineering, project and portfolio risk management in the field of project management.
Dr. Yiannis Xenidis received at 2006 his PhD from the department of Civil Engineering in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) wherefrom he had, previously, graduated at 1998. His doctoral thesis was on: “Risk Analysis of BOT projects with the Use of Fuzzy Logic”.
He has taught at the department of Spatial Planning and Development in AUTH during 2005 – 2008, while, currently, he is a faculty member (Assistant Professor) at the department of Civil Engineering in AUTH and he is a tutor/advisor at the school of Science and Technology in the Hellenic Open University. He is the author of several peer reviewed papers in scientific journals and conferences and he has contributed, upon invitation, with book chapters to several publications. He has participated as member of the scientific committee and session chair at several scientific conferences and he is a reviewer at several scientific journals and conferences. He is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Society of Risk Analysis (SRA), the International Association for Life-Cycle Civil Engineering (iaLcce) and the World Scientific and Engineering Academy and Society (WSEAS).
His research interests and teaching activities include: Resilient Systems, Risk Analysis and Decision-Making Theory, Infrastructure Investments and Development, Cost and Schedule Management in Civil Engineering Works, Project Management, Construction Management, and Human Resources Management.
