PlebankiewiczEdyta Plebankiewicz, Ph. D, works in the Institute of Construction and Transportation Engineering & Management at Cracow University of Technology. On 12th December 2001 she defended her doctoral dissertation and on 19th June 2013 the Faculty Council of the Civil Engineering Faculty at Cracow Technical University granted her a postdoctoral degree (habilitation) in technical sciences in the construction discipline.

Edyta Plebankiewicz’s scope of interest encompasses such issues as commissioning building works, analysed from the point of view of both the contractor and the construction client, and cost calculation in the investment process. Her models of the processes employ fuzzy logic. She has published over 70 articles in Polish and foreign journals, 30 articles in reviewed conference materials, a textbook and a postdoctoral dissertation. Her articles devoted to modeling various issues in construction management using fuzzy sets were published in, for instance, Automation in Construction Journals, Journal of Civil Engineering and Management, or Technological and Economic Development of Economy.
